Before joining the Karl Truman Law Office, Shawn spent 17 years working for the Jeffersonville Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff, Sworn Officer, and Detective in Investigations Division and Hostage Negotiator. He finds that what he enjoys the most in his past and current career at Karl Truman Law Office is helping people who have experienced something life changing. A Jeffersonville native, Shawn is a member of the Knights of Columbus JFK Council 1248 and shares 4 children with his wife Ellen of 15 years. A graduate of Our Lady of Providence High School class of 1992 and received an Associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College in General Studies. He plans to continue his education with a bachelor’s degree at Indiana University Southeast.
