Also referred to as bladder slings, transvaginal mesh devices are designed to support pelvic organs in women who undergo surgical treatment for POP or SUI.

The condition known as pelvic organ prolapse causes muscles and other tissue that surround the pelvic organs to weaken and stretch, which results in the bladder or uterus slipping out of place and into the vaginal wall.
